XTS Combines 3 Packaging Machines into 1

Syntegon’s newest cartoning solution relies on PC-based automation and adaptive manufacturing technologies from Beckhoff

Boosting flexibility. Maximizing uptime. Minimizing footprint. These are all critical goals for every new packaging machine.

With Kliklok Integrated Topload Cartoner (ITC), Syntegon accomplishes all three. This innovative machine design is geared toward packing flow wraps, roll wraps and tablets, particularly in the bakery and confectionery industries. This makes it an ideal solution for cereal bars, muffins, sweets and similar food products.

The Kliklok ITC makes expert use of the eXtended Transport System (XTS) from Beckhoff to take complete control of the carton. By leveraging intelligent transport technology, the machine consolidates the functionality of three systems – carton forming, product loading and carton closing – into one compact cell. Changeovers can happen on the fly or with rapid tooling changes, maximizing machine throughput and customization possibilities.

Of course, Syntegon is no stranger to Beckhoff or XTS. But these advantages of XTS have been proven time and time again with leading packaging machine builders, large CPGs (like the L’Oréal Group) and many others beyond the industry. How could you use XTS to optimize for those three key goals?
